On a beautiful midsummer afternoon in July, two soulmates made their forever promise in front of those dearest to them. In a sentimental ceremony filled with heartfelt words, soft tears and joyful giggles, their love was sealed with the exchange of vows, rings and a kiss.
This beautiful couple, the NEW Mr. and Mrs. Paul, are two of the kindest souls I've had the privilege to encounter in my life. If you know them, you know exactly what I mean! Larissa and Jordon are thoughtful and kind, mixed together with a little bit of goofy and all kinds of awesome! It's been a privilege to get to know them over this past year with their engagement session and working with them through their wedding.
I've put together a beautiful collection of the highlights of their day to fully showcase it in its entirety. I don't know if it's just me but I always feel like there can never be too many pictures to share of a wedding day! It's one of the greatest days of your life - and your story of this day should be told with as much detail as possible. There's a lot of pictures to follow... now don't say I didn't warn you!

Larissa got ready at her and Jordon's home in St. Albert where there was lots of hairspray, laughter and a lovely sense of calmness when I arrived. Stress on a wedding day? Larissa wouldn't even know what that would be! Although I'm sure her meticulous planning right down to the finest detail didn't have ANYTHING to do with it ;) Did I mention she's a teacher? This obviously was the planning of a teacher...

Larissa's gown has a beautiful story behind it... it is, in fact, her mom's! She kept it for Larissa, her only daughter, in hopes that one day she may also be married in it! When that day came, Larissa and her mom carefully planned some minor updates to the dress with the help of a seamstress. They brought the long lace sleeves up to shoulder-hugging capped sleeves and added the keyhole in the back. It is a very delicate and dainty gown, her mom is a tiny little peanut as you can see standing here next to her handsome groom of 38 years come this October 13th. An early congratulations to you both!

Larissa is one of many talents, she designed and crafted all the bouquets and boutonnieres. I love the little personal touch she included on Jordon's bout - he is, after-all, an avid golfer.

Their ceremony was sweet and simple, light and fun, full of love and laughter. And of course some tears. The look on Jordon's face and the love in his eyes as he saw the love of his life walking down the aisle to him was by far the heart-melting moment of the day.

This wedding party was SUPER fun and easy going! What a great collection of awesome people to stand beside these two gems on their day. They were troopers in the sun and heat too!

And what better way to cool off from the heat of the afternoon than with a good 'ol cold one at Brewsters! Mmm delish!

Their reception was filled with personal touches and plenty of sweet compliments that pleased both the eye and tastebuds ;)

The entire cupcake bar and cake was handmade by Alana Willick - close friend and cousin of Larissa. She is also the cousin to the maid-of-honour, Christine Crawford, who is married to Chris Crawford. Both Chris and Alana were co-master of ceremonies together. Confused yet?! ;)

And the bar kept flowing with these two characters from the Ellerslie Rugby Club! They sure kept everyone on their toes with their jokes and awesome personalities!

Larissa and Jordon had an adorable sweetheart table they shared for the reception. Their wedding party was intermingled with their families throughout the room which was a refreshing change!

After our bellies were filled with delicious food and delectable desserts, we enjoyed many speeches with wonderful stories, memories and moments from over the years shared of Larissa and Jordon.

Afterwards, they took to the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife to a sweet and soulful song.

Shortly after, Larissa and her dad swayed as well.

After the formalities of the day were done, we headed out to the open fields for some lovely sunset portraits during golden hour. My heart is overjoyed as I look at these images of two gentle souls so relaxed and full of love.

To finish the night, we did a sparkler shot with many of their guests, friends and family! What a fun way to open the night up to dancing and celebrations for the newlyweds!

Congratulations to two wonderful friends... ONE amazing couple! I cannot wait to see what life has in store for you guys next! It was a pleasure to be part of your day, THANK YOU!
